Our client is a fast-growing, private equity-backed healthcare business operating across multiple specialist service lines. With continued expansion across Australia, they are investing in building a high-performing, scalable finance function.
About the role
Sits within a lean, collaborative finance team, reporting directly to a high-calibre CFO and Finance Manager in CBD.
You’ll gain hands-on exposure across all areas of finance, from transactional through to reporting and compliance, with the opportunity to build a well-rounded, commercial skillset.
This is ideal for someone who wants more than a siloed role and is looking to fast-track their development in a dynamic environment.
Key responsibilities
- Process AP/AR and manage daily cash transactions
- Perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with payroll processing and payroll tax
- Support month-end close, including journals and reporting
- Prepare BAS and assist with compliance requirements
- Manage prepayments and intercompany reconciliations
- Assist with cashflow forecasting
- Support audit and year-end processes
Skills and experience
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
- CA/CPA qualified or currently studying
- 2+ years’ experience in public practice or commercial accounting
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups)
- Exposure to cloud-based accounting systems (e.g. Xero)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
- Confident communicator with a proactive mindset
