At GenesisCare we want to hear from people who are as passionate as we are about innovation and working together to drive better life outcomes for patients around the world.

Care to Join the Team.

Are you passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and thrive in a fast‑paced medical environment? GenesisCare has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Patient Bookings Officer to join our dedicated oncology team.

This role will be predominantly based at a clinic close to your home. During your initial training period (approximately six months), you will be based at our North Shore Clinic in St Leonards. Once fully trained, you’ll also enjoy the flexibility of working from home.

About the Role

As a Patient Bookings Officer, you’ll play a critical role in supporting patients throughout their care journey by coordinating and scheduling appointments across all GenesisCare Oncology sites. You will act as the vital link between patients, clinicians and multidisciplinary teams—ensuring a seamless, compassionate and efficient experience.

This is a full‑time opportunity, working Monday to Friday.

More specifically you will:

  • Deliver outstanding patient service, ensuring patient needs and service standards are consistently met.

  • Provide professional customer service.

  • Schedule and confirm appointments including Planning CTs, Treatments, Nursing Reviews, and Procedures.

  • Maintain and proactively manage appointment diaries to maximise clinic capacity.

  • Work collaboratively with clinical and administrative teams to support the full patient journey.

  • Respond promptly to patient enquiries and resolve issues with empathy and accuracy.

  • Monitor patient feedback and take action to continuously improve service delivery.

We’re keen to hear from candidates who will bring:

  • Proven experience in medical administration, ideally within busy medical or oncology clinics.

  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical administration systems.

  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills.

  • A professional phone manner and confidence handling high‑volume patient enquiries.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, particularly in time‑critical environments.

  • The ability to work independently while being a strong, collaborative team player.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and clinical booking systems.

  • Experience working with cancer patients (highly regarded).

  • Flexibility to travel between sites and attend leadership meetings when required.

Benefits of joining our team:

  • Being part of a supportive, close‑knit team focused on delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

  • Comprehensive internal and external training and development opportunities.

  • Free, confidential support for you and your family, including counselling, legal advice, financial and wellbeing coaching.

  • Access to our Full Circle Wellbeing Program to support your holistic health.

  • Award‑winning learning and development programs.

  • Free access to thousands of LinkedIn Learning courses.

  • A range of corporate benefits, including Qantas Club discounts, Anytime Fitness membership discounts, 12 weeks paid parental leave and Bupa health insurance discounts
