Sailing Ingredients Pty Ltd trading as I Maccheroni is an Award Winning restaurant, run by Michelin-star trained Chef in Sydney, serving classic Italian food with Australian influences to use local fresh products.
Be part of a dynamic culinary team in an establishment committed to exceptional food quality and presentation. We seek a Cook to own a station with pride and precision.
Responsibilities:
- Manage your station (e.g., grill, sauté, pastry) with efficiency and consistency.
- Prepare dishes according to standards and recipes.
- Ensure portion control, garnish aesthetics, and plating excellence.
- Maintain high hygiene and workstation organisation.
- Assist with inventory monitoring and food safety compliance.
- Collaborate closely with peers to maintain smooth kitchen operations.
- Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery, Advanced Diploma, or equivalent; or 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Proven station experience in a professional kitchen.
- Strong culinary technique, attention to detail, and sense of responsibility.
- High standards of food hygiene and teamwork.
- Base salary of AU$75,000/year, depending on experience.
- For highly experienced candidates or premium venues: up to AU$90,000/year
