Job Plant Operator and Multi-Skilled Worker - Open Spaces, Alexandria

Status: Permanent Full-Time (38 hours per week) - Thursday to Fridays (9 days on and 5 days off)
Salary: From $68,230 per annum + 12% superannuation + applicable penalties and allowances for working weekends and public holidays



Do you have horticulture, arboriculture or gardening experience and love working outdoors? Randwick City Council is an innovative and progressive Council committed to serving our vibrant community on the eastern beaches of Sydney. Due to an internal promotion, we are seeking a Plant Operator Multi-Skilled worker to join our Sports Field team. The positions are responsible for horticultural maintenance of parks and sports fields in the Council area.

About the role:

Perform sports fields maintenance activities with minimal supervision, while also working in a team environment
Ensure vehicle and plant maintenance checks are completed daily
Ensure a focus on quality customer service that is responsive to the needs of the community.
The shift pattern for this position is 9 days on and 5 days off:

Week 1: Thursday to Sunday
Week 2: Monday to Friday

Weekday hours - 6:00am to 4:00pm and weekend hours - 6:00am to 10:45am

Essential:

Demonstrated experience in working in a team,
Demonstrated experience in an outdoor environment, particularly related to horticulture,


Current WHS General Construction Induction (White) card,
Current class C driver’s license, and
Current MR/HR driver’s license (or be willing to obtain one).


Desirable:

Chemical Application Accreditation
First Aid Certificate.
