Plumb & Level Masonry is a reputable masonry contractor delivering high-quality brickwork and blockwork across residential and commercial projects. We are currently seeking highly experienced Bricklayers and a seasoned Bricklayer Foreman to join our growing team based in Concord, NSW.
Key Responsibilities
Bricklayer:
- Set out and lay bricks and blocks in accordance with drawings and specifications
- Deliver high-volume, high-quality brickwork with strong productivity output
- Lay various brick bonds and finishes including:
- Stretcher bond
- Stack bond
- Vertical stack bond
- Standard/common bonds
- Architectural details such as arches and bullnose - Work with face brick, common brick, and blockwork
- Cut and shape bricks/blocks accurately to suit design requirements
- Ensure correct alignment, level, plumb, and structural integrity
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors on site
- Oversee and manage multiple bricklaying teams across various sites
- Coordinate daily activities of 50-60 bricklayers across different locations
- Set out work areas and allocate teams efficiently to meet program deadlines
- Liaise directly with builders, site supervisors, and project managers
- Monitor productivity, quality, and site performance across all teams
- Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and safety standards
- Report progress, issues, and planning updates to Project / General Managers
- Drive high performance, accountability, and workmanship standards across crews
Bricklayer:
- A relevant Trade qualification and/or at least 1 to 3 years of employment experience, preferably on high-pressure commercial sites
- Proven ability to deliver high productivity rates while maintaining quality
- Strong experience in laying face brick, common brick, and blockwork
- Competency in a wide range of bonding patterns and architectural details
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- Good communication skills in English and ability to work within diverse teams
- A relevant Trade qualification and/or at least 1 to 3 years of employment experience, including leadership roles
- Demonstrated ability to manage large teams across multiple sites
- Strong coordination and planning capability
- Excellent communication skills with builders, supervisors, and project managers
- High-level understanding of productivity targets, sequencing, and site logistics
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
