About the role:

Unifying our customer experience across physical and digital channels, our Digital team build and deliver products where technology meets our customers – web, app, and retail.

As a Marketing Technology Lead within the Martech team, you will lead the end-to-end solution lifecycle of our Dynamics 365 Customer Experience ecosystem, spanning solution design, configuration, delivery, governance, and ongoing support.

Your primary focus will be on Dynamics 365 Customer Experience - CEM, Customer Insights, Customer Journeys, Dataverse, and Power Platform, with a strong emphasis on customer data, marketing activation, and continuous improvement.

A critical part of this role is acting as the pivot between the Ampol Marketing business, the internal Support, Data & Analytics and Delivery teams ensuring alignment of business needs, technical feasibility, and platform governance.

Looking ahead, you will help shape Ampol’s roadmap for AI-enabled customer engagement, intelligent automation, and next generation Marketing and CRM capabilities across the enterprise

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end design, configuration, implementation, and support of Dynamics 365 CE, including Marketing, Sales, Service, Customer Insights, and Power Platform components.

  • Own the delivery of enhancements, new features, and optimisation initiatives aligned to Marketing, Loyalty, and CRM strategies.

  • Integrate and leverage customer data across platforms using Customer Insights, Dataverse, and enterprise data sources.

  • Enable personalised, data driven marketing activation, segmentation, and real-time customer journeys.

  • Partner with key business stakeholders, Data & Analytics, Integration teams, Application Support, and Fusion5 to prioritise solutions that align with strategic business goals.

  • Contribute to the Marketing Technology roadmap, including capability uplift, platform optimisation, and future AI-driven experiences.

  • Provide thought leadership on best practice use of Dynamics 365 and Power Platform

Qualifications & Experience

  • Deep experience designing and configuring Dynamics 365 CE, ideally with exposure in: Customer Insights (Data & Journeys), Marketing, Sales & Servic, Power Apps & Power Automate

  • Strong understanding of CRM data models, customer segmentation, and customer lifecycle processes.

  • Solid knowledge of out of the box Dynamics functionality and the ability to design scalable solutions with minimal customisation.

  • Experience acting as a functional consultant or product owner across Marketing, CRM, or customer data platforms.

  • Strong ability to translate business requirements into functional designs and user stories.

  • Skilled in working within Agile and hybrid delivery environments.

  • Ability to coach and uplift user capability across Marketing and operational teams.

  • Experience managing delivery alongside external vendors or consulting partners

Nice to have

  • Experience with Azure services, data integration, or API‑based data flows.

  • Exposure to Dynamics 365 plugin development or Power Platform custom code components (desirable but not essential).

  • Experience in retail, energy, loyalty, or customer engagement program environments.
