Tanuki Restaurant Sydney is now looking for a talented Chef to join their team.
About your role and responsibilities:
- Set up workstations with required ingredients and equipment;
- Cook and heat vegetables, such as onions, garlic, tomatoes, potatoes etc.
- Assisting and helping other team members in preparing food;
- Contact with the suppliers and order ingredients;
- Handling food according to health and safety regulations;
- Preparing food by cutting, mixing, chopping fruit and vegetables;
- Supervise all sections and assign tasks to kitchen staff members;
- Bake, grill, steam and boil meats, vegetables, fish, poultry and other foods;
- Manage kitchen staff and delegate tasks related to meal prep, cooking and delivering food to diners in a timely fashion;
- Monthly comparison of inventory against real consume to check on the product usage in order to avoid food waste;
- Follow recipes, including measuring, weighing and mixing ingredients
- Create menus with Restaurant Managers;
About you:
- At least 1 year of experience as a Chef;
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and ingredients;
- Strong time management skills;
- Strong communication skills;
- Ability to manage multiple orders;
Job type: Permanent/full-time
Salary: $76,000 - $85,000
