We are seeking a motivated Sampler to join our operations team at Brisbane Port Terminal. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring an automated mechanical sampling system, ensuring accurate and timely collection, preparation, and dispatch of mineral product samples in line with strict procedures and industry standards.
This is a hands-on, operational role within a dynamic port environment where attention to detail, safety, and reliability are essential.
About the role
- Set up, operate, monitor, and collect samples from an automated sampling system
- Ensure sampling is conducted in accordance with relevant procedures and standards
- Sort, label, and securely store samples while maintaining strict chain of custody
- Ensure sample integrity is preserved and contamination is avoided at all times
- Accurately record and report sample data and technical results for clients and shipping documentation
- Ensure all records are completed within required timeframes and operational schedules
- Carry out routine cleaning, basic maintenance, and inspections of sampling equipment and vehicles
- Assist with general site housekeeping, including spill management and store duties
- Support dispatch activities including sample packing, courier coordination, and loading for transport
- Attend operational and port meetings to support shipping schedule requirements
