The following will also ensure you have the lived experiences to hit the ground running in this role:
A genuine interest in Patisserie and pride in producing high-quality work
Ability to follow recipes, methods, direction and production standards with consistency
Strong attention to detail and care in finishing and presentation
Reliability, punctuality and a professional approach to work
Ability to work well in a team and contribute positively to a shared production environment
Willingness to learn, take feedback and continuously improve
Capacity to work efficiently in a fast-paced, production-driven kitchen
- Understanding of food safety, hygiene and WHS standards
About the Black Star Pastry Business
Black Star Pastry started as a boutique patisserie in Newtown in 2008 and has since grown into an established and loved brand. Our claim to fame is the Strawberry Watermelon Cake, a dessert that has taken social media by storm and earned recognition from the New York Times as "the world's most Instagrammed cake".
Now, Black Star Pastry has expanded to multiple NSW-based locations with standalone stores, kiosks, and pop-up installations.
