We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Financial Accountant to take ownership of the financial accounting for our WA operations. This is a key role within the Finance team, partnering closely with the WA business and senior stakeholders to deliver high-quality financial reporting, analysis, and insights that support sound commercial decision-making.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in month-end delivery, joint venture reporting, and continuous process improvement across a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
This is a full-time role based in Alexandria with Flexible work arrangements – (currently working from the office a minimum of 3 days per week).
More Specifically you will:
Own end-to-end financial accounting for WA operations
Deliver month-end accounting within set deadlines
Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly
Analyse and explain variances to budget, forecast, and prior periods
Present WA financial results to the Senior Finance team
Calculate and manage doctor remuneration in line with contractual arrangements (employee and contractor doctors)
Liaise with JV partners across two WA Joint Ventures
Prepare quarterly finance packs for WA Joint Venture board meetings
Support monthly reporting, budgeting, and forecasting activities
Partner with key WA stakeholders to stay across operational and financial developments
Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and enhance insights
Assist with the annual audit process
Contribute to ad-hoc projects as required
We’re interested in hearing from people who have:
Bachelor's degree.
CA or CPA qualification.
Strong technical capability in financial accounting and reporting.
Advanced Excel skills.
Ability to quickly grasp complex financial and operational concepts.
Confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Proven ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
